چکیده
Nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus) are among the water quality parameters that cannot be easily removed from wastewater. Unfortunately, excessive accumulation of nutrients in can lead to numerous health issues for humans environment general (including aquatic life). This study looked into potential use polymeric nanofiltration membranes remove total phosphorus, ammonia, nitrate, nitrite poultry slaughterhouse The wastewater samples were subjected three different treatment systems determined by pore sizes (0.4, 0.6, 0.8 nm) as well an integrated system composed ultrafiltration main units. results showed size significantly affect a system’s overall performance removing phenomenon was supported analysis variance (ANOVA) results, which treated effluent’s concentrations investigated at produced p-values less than 0.01 (statistically significant). According removal efficiency analysis, combination ammonia nm demonstrated lowest efficiency, with rate around 54.57%. However, nitrate 0.4 best about 90.5%. On other hand, observed highly effective ranging 97.8 99.71%. study’s findings offer useful information slaughterhouses.

Biological Phosphorus and Nitrogen Removal from Wastewater Using Moving Bed Biofilm Process
In this research, an experimental study to evaluate nutrient removal from synthetic wastewater by a lab-scale moving bed biofilm process was investigated. Also, kinetic analysis of the process with regard to phosphorus and nitrogen removal was studied with different mathematical models. For nutrient removal, the moving bed biofilm process was applied in series with anaerobic, anoxic and aerobic...
متن کاملReactive phosphorus removal from aquaculture and poultry productions systems using polymeric hydrogels.
This work reports on the features of a sorption processes for the ultimate removal and recovery of reactive phosphorus from aquaculture and poultry production wastewater effluents. The sorbent used was a cross-linked polyamine (PAA-HCl) polymeric hydrogel. The PAA-HCl hydrogels were prepared by chemically cross-linking aqueous solutions of linear PAA-HCl chains with epichlorohydrin (EPI). The p...
متن کاملRemoval of phosphorus and nitrogen from domestic wastewater using a mineralized refuse-based bioreactor.
Municipal solid waste used for landfill becomes stabilized, or aged, some years after placement, and can be safely excavated; the term 'mineralized refuse' is used in this study. The adsorptions of phosphorus, and the nitrification of the mineralized refuse and clay, were investigated by batch incubation. The variation of phosphorus adsorption in the mineralized refuse was fitted to the Freundl...
متن کاملOptimization of nitrogen and phosphorus removal from meat processing wastewaters using microalgal biofilms
Background: The conventional activated sludge processes are not able to completely treat the nitrogen and phosphorus compounds of meat processing wastewaters. Microalgal biofilm, which has the advantages of easiness and inexpensiveness, can be applied as a post-treatment method. Methods: The optimal levels of micronutrients and N/P ratio were aimed in the cultivation of Scenedesmus quadricauda...
متن کاملReactive nitrogen and phosphorus removal from aquaculture wastewater effluents using polymer hydrogels
We have developed poly(allyl amine hydrochloride) (PAA · HCl) polymer hydrogels, that efficiently remove nitrate (NO3 ), nitrite (NO2 ), and orthophosphate (PO4 ) nutrient anions from the aquaculture wastewater. The hydrogels were prepared by chemically crosslinking linear PAA · HCl chains with epichlorohydrin (EPI). The anion binding capacity of the pH sensitive polymer gels was measured in st...
